Join me in NYC: “Africa’s Literary Identity: Who Defines It?”

Appearances

On September 27, join yours truly, along with Tope Folarin, Prof. Carol Boyce Davies, and Hannah Pool at Pace University as we explore the topic of Africa’s literary identity. I am looking forward to joining this distinguished panel of discussants. Should be a great conversation.

I got an invitation to join the panel from my friends (and organizers) at Africare.

Africare, with sponsorship from Chevron, is planning a panel discussion entitled, “Africa’s Literary Identity: Who Defines It?” on September 27th, 2013, to be hosted at Pace University.

Inspired by Maaza Mengiste’s article in the Guardian, “What makes a real African?” Africare looks to a distinguished panel to discuss how the shaping of identity influences the story that is told. Join us for the panel discussion and reception following.

I am very curious at the Chevron sponsorship. You don’t see that very often.
