Freaky Site Outage

SHOTS ACROSS THE BOW

Uhm, yeah, so sorry for the site outage there. I fried the database yesterday while I was working on something for this site… I still have no idea what I did, but then again that’s what I get for messing with things that I don’t understand. Like CSS for example. Thank God for backups and the awesome tech support at bluehost, my hosting providers.

But it wasn’t until I started panicking that I noticed that my site looks absolutely atrocious in Mozilla’s Mac version of Firefox. I mean yikes! Good thing is you Mac fans, you have an alternate browser for that platform. If you don’t already have it, head on over to Apple’s site and download a copy of Safari, the default web browser for Maz OS X. I am glad that it’s no longer Explorer 5.0. *Shudder* Oh, and now available for Windblows too!

I am in CSS hell over at Project:Diaspora. I’ve got the site template loaded and some of the pages tweaked, but man it’s more than I wanna spend my time learning. I am trying to recruit someone to take over on the plumbing side of things. I’ll see if Justin, my coder of choice, is done spitting out babies. Natch!

Now for the rant. I have no idea who’s responsible, but Apple and WordPress, dudes, ya’ll need to get together, light a spliff or whatever, I don’t care what you do, PLEASE, fix this damned WYSYWG editor backend plumbing. It’s atrocious man! Yikes. I can’t even go back and edit my posts because it screws the formating. Anybody know how to turn off the WYSWYG editor in WordPress? Sheesh!
