This week’s iOTW comes to you courtesy of village life. I went to spend a couple of days of R&R (hah!) in the village with dear ‘ol mum. I think I’ll start a series of these. I have yet to go to the village house and not come back awed by yet another fabulous image(s).
Here is one of the images from the series. I caught the lamp resting next to a mango I’d picked early from the tree. In the background is a radio that was blaring the local evening news. On this night in particular, the death announcements seemed longer than usual. Even the announcer had to take a sip of water. The light was there only momentarily, and then the radio was bathed in its usual blanket of darkness. Fitting for this night.
