It just about 3pm here in Tonsberg, Norway. The sun never quite made it to dead center. Actually, the sun never makes it to dead center here, it just curves across the horizon as if it didn’t have enough momentum to kick it’s way to high noon.
At midnight last night, there was still a faint rim of light glowing on the horizon. It’s easy to get disoriented here if one does not keep an eye on the clock. It gets full morning sun at 5am. So sleeping in is a work of art and practice when one is used to waking at the crack of dawn
There is a man-made rock jetty not too far from here. We had an evening picnic and watched the ships and boats cruising up and down the channel. When we left at 11pm, the sunset wasn’t quite done doing it’s dance across the water, throwing the waves into an andulating dance of yellow, red, and brown. If was entrancing and hypnotic.
For now, I am just soaking in the Norwegian blistering 70-degree day.
