iOTW: Birds of a feather, bird-drop together

iOTW is back and this image has been a favorite of mine from this past year. I spent about an hour sitting among the tourists in Amsterdam square. The kids were busy agitating the birds while the adults were busy feeding them.

My goal was to capture flight. It’s amazing how fast these little birds are, especially shooting with a not-so-forgiving 100mm prime lens. As you can imagine, I deleted a host of images before getting to this one and a couple more like it. By far though, this one is my favorite. I’ll add it to the list of images that get the special enlargement treatment.
