If you’re in the US and are health conscious, you probably have heard about Kuli Kuli. They are a California-based moringa products company and have been the biggest promoters of the benefits of moringa in North America.
Raintree Farms has been their supplier since late 2018. Last year, a team travelled all the way to Uganda for a tour and to visit our farmers. They shot the video above featuring yours truly.
We’ve partnered with them this Earth Month to promote climate-smart agriculture and a general awareness about environmental protection. Part of our mission at Raintree Farms has been to help the ecosystem heal. Every week, we dedicate a small budget to planting trees. So far, we’ve planted over 250 non-moringa trees both on the farm and in the community where we are based. There’s an African proverb we like to adhere to “do not be afraid to plant a tree under who’s shade you will never seat. The trees aren’t for us right now.
We are making sure that there will be an ecosystem long after we’re gone. Environmental protection isn’t someone else’s job. It’s everyones job. We all live in this ecosystem and are very much responsible for its maintenance. With the support of Kuli Kuli, this partnership will see us plant a minimum of 5000 additional trees in the community in 2020.
I know my blogging has really reduce —I mean, who blogs any more in these days of social media quips? I actually kind of miss it. I didn’t realize how draining building an agricultural startup can be. But it’s been very rewarding at the same time.
I plan to update on progress of this partnership in the coming months (if for no other reason than to stretch my writing muscles a little bit.). I do miss writing.
I hope you are all well and safe in this global pandemic and the fall out we’re all having to trudge through. We will get out of this soon.
Stay safe.
