Hiking the Rwenzori Mountain Range

Climate Change photography Tourism
I just got back from an 8-day hike in the Rwenzori Mountains in Southern Uganda. I am so proud of completing the hike that I am posting my photos everywhere (including dusting off this blog).

Nothing like a refreshing vacation in the mountains to clear your mind and get you enthusiastic about starting off the year.

Collectively, we’ve been through hell and back the last two years. I’ve mostly been in the countryside at the farm (more on that in future blog posts, I promise!). But this January I took a break from worrying about COVID and spent over a week trekking the Rwenzori Mountains (including summiting Margarita Peak, the highest point in Uganda).

I am putting together a gallery of photos and my thoughts on this unique mountain range and why you should put it on your bucket list.

Happy New Year!

At the gate, fresh-faced and excited. Had no idea the adventure ahead for the next 8 days
The mountain started showing off even from the first camp.
Kicking off day 2 with the whole crew
